The case it is built for: you have a folder full of images on disk and you want to skim it quickly — without opening a viewer app and clicking each file, and without waiting for some gallery program to build an index.

You can filter to just some of them — only GIFs, say, or everything except MP4.

This tool uploads nothing. That sentence is your browser's standard warning before it hands a whole folder to a web page — it describes what the page could do, not what it is doing. Every read (thumbnails, previews, sizes and dates) happens on your own machine.

Videos have no thumbnails. They show an extension badge in the list and play when opened. Generating a video thumbnail means decoding a frame, which is not something this tool does.
