MultiQRScan Privacy Policy

Effective 30 August 2026 · Applies to the MultiQRScan iOS and Android apps

This policy applies to:

• iOS Bundle ID: io.github.fishforgithub.qrcodeQuickScan
• Android Application ID: io.github.fishforgithub.qrcode_quick_scan

1. Scanned content and photos

• Camera frames, QR code content, selected photos and recognition results are processed on your device.
• The app does not upload that content to fish-zero servers and has no account, cloud-sync or user-database service.
• A detected URL is never opened automatically. If you choose to open one, it is passed to your browser or another app, whose own privacy policy then applies to the connection.

2. Device permissions

• Camera: used for live QR code scanning. Features that do not require the camera remain available if permission is denied.
• Photos: used only when you choose an image for QR code recognition. The app does not browse or upload your photo library in the background.
• Tracking permission (iOS, where applicable): the app may show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can deny it and continue using all scanning features, although ads may be less personalized.

3. Data stored on your device

Scan history, app settings and language preferences are stored locally. You can clear scan history in the app; uninstalling the app or clearing its app data also removes this local data.

4. Google AdMob advertising

The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display banner ads. Depending on your device settings, consent choices and region, Google and its partners may process:

• device or other identifiers, such as an advertising identifier when permitted by the operating system and your authorization;
• IP address, approximate location, device and app information;
• ad impressions, clicks, interactions, diagnostics and performance data;
• information used to serve ads, measure performance, prevent fraud and maintain service security.

Users in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and other applicable regions may first see a consent or privacy-options message provided through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can revisit your choice through the app's “Ad privacy options” item when available, and manage personalized ads in Google My Ad Center. 5. We do not sell your personal data

fish-zero does not sell your QR code content or photos and cannot read them from a server. Advertising providers process advertising data under their own terms and your consent choices.

6. Children

The app is not directed primarily to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be described on this page or in app release notes.
